Lord, I ask for a deep knowledge of all that I have received from you so that gratitude might inspire me to love and serve you in everything.
Option 1:
Scripture: Acts 17:24-28
Reflection: Spend some time in wonder and awe at how God’s sustains all life and how in God we live and move and have our being. Contemplate how God dwells in you and your union with God.
Option 2:
Scripture: James 1:17; 1 John 4:10-11
Reflection: Contemplate with gratitude how God is the source of all good things, such as justice, goodness, empathy, love, and mercy. Think of concrete examples. In what specific ways might you pass on the good that God has given you?
Option 3:
Reflection: Think back on the past day. Where have you noticed God’s goodness? What do you feel thankful for?
Option 4:
Scripture: Romans 12
Reflection: How can becoming aware of God’s generosity inspire you to give as well? In what practical ways might you serve others in your daily life? Be specific.
Option 5:
Repetition of a previous day this week.
Option 6:
Ignatius’s Prayer: “Take Lord and receive all my liberty, my memory, my intellect, and all my will–all that I have and possess. You gave it to me; to you, Lord, I return it! All is yours, dispose of it according to all your will. Give me your love and grace, for this is enough for me.”
Reflection: Offer to God this prayer and spend time meditating on what this means specifically for you in daily life.
Reviewing the Week:
Look back on the past week. What stands out to you the most as you have prayed and reflected on gratitude for God’s gifts? Talk with God about your reflections. Close with the song “Take My Life and Let It Be.”
