God help me to understand my relationship to the rest of creation: other people, animals, plants, and land.

Option 1:
Activity: Draw, paint, or use clay to create scenes from Genesis 1. As you do, honestly reflect on the ways you currently engage with the rest of creation. Talk with God about it.

Option 2:
Scripture: Genesis 9:8-17; Hosea 2:18-23; Romans 8:18-22
Reflection: Have you ever noticed that God’s covenants and redemption are not only for human beings, but also all creation? What ideas do you have for showing a similar kindness toward other creatures and land?
Video: Watch the 1 minute video of Amazing Planet Earth highlights along with any of the other video clips collected at that site that interest you.

Option 3:
Scripture: Acts 17:26-28; Revelation 5:8-10 and 7:9-10
Reflection: Spend some time reflecting on a variety of the photos of people on the HONY website (tip: click on the specific photos to see captions, as well as skip down to earlier months too). What do you notice about your connection to the rest of humanity? Talk to God about your thoughts on the photos in light of the Scripture readings.

Option 4:
Reflection: Ask God to bring to mind specific neighbors, peoples, and places. Spend some time praying on behalf of these.

Option 5:
Scripture: Romans 12
Reflection: What do you learn from Romans 12 about your relationship with other human beings in your community and in the world? Be as specific as possible.

Option 6:
Repeat or continue a reflection from one of the days this week.

Reviewing the Week:
Look back on the past week. What stands out to you the most as you have prayed and reflected on your relationship with all of creation? Talk with God about the different things you have noticed and felt. Close with Psalm 148.
